Doug Simmers, Senior Pastor
Senior Pastor, Worship Leader, Musician, Teacher, Black Belt, Friend, Koi & Horse pond lover, Sushi eater. Doug is a down to earth biblical teacher and leader with real world experience. His teaching are seasoned from almost 40 years serving Jesus. Being "saved" in the 70's during the "Jesus Movement" and forming one of the first Rock bands dedicated to a Christian Message, he has never gone with the "Religious" crowd. He is a great friend and tends to tick off religious people and always teaches of God's amazing love and his grace for us.
Dr. Paul R. Simmers, Apostolic Founding Pastor
Paul is the Apostolic Founding Pastor or Crossway. Being a Behavioral Scientist and educator in Maryland, he came to know Christ in the 70's and eventually became associate pastor at 1st Presbyterian in Atlanta Ga. Called by friend John Wimber to start a Vineyard church in Memphis which has become Crossway. With his Doctors in Behaviorism and several masters, He brings Gods Grace to the forefront of every teaching at Crossway EQUIP every Wednesday Night. He also schedules and plans elevate the Crossway Kids Sunday Morning Program.
